Matching a service to help those in need

Services Across America is a listing service. On one side are people whose homes and lives have been damaged — by a storm, a flood, a fire, or simple hard luck. On the other side are contractors, tradespeople, volunteers, churches and non-profits who have skills, tools and time they are willing to give away.

We put the two lists side by side and help them find each other. We do not take a cut, we do not charge for a listing, and no money passes through us for any service performed. Posting a need is free. Listing a service is free. It always will be.

What we do

• Keep an open, searchable list of donated services and of people who need them.
• Carry live National Weather Service alerts and federal disaster declarations so both sides know where help is about to be needed.
• Show all of it on a map, so a provider can see at a glance what is happening inside the area they cover.
• Notify a provider when a request lands in their service area, and notify the person who posted when an offer of help arrives.

What we do not do

• We do not perform the work ourselves, supervise it, or guarantee it.
• We do not employ, licence, bond or insure the people who list services here.
• We do not handle payment between a beneficiary and a provider, because there should not be any.

Donations to Services Across America itself pay for hosting, incorporation and the filing fees that let us operate. They never pay for a listed service.
