Donation & Refund Policy

What donations pay for

Donations support the operation of Services Across America: web hosting, the domain, incorporation, non-profit filing fees and the tools that keep the listings running. Donations are never passed to an individual beneficiary and are never payment for a listed service.

Tax status

Our current tax status is stated on the donate page. Until a determination letter is issued, donations should not be assumed to be tax-deductible. We will update this page the moment that changes. Consult your own tax adviser.

Recurring gifts

Recurring donations are managed by the payment processor. You can cancel one at any time from your PayPal account, or by writing to us and we will cancel it for you.

Refunds

If you gave by mistake, gave the wrong amount, or simply change your mind, write to us within 30 days and we will refund it, no questions asked, as long as the funds have not already been spent on a committed cost. Fraudulent or unauthorised charges are refunded in full whenever they are reported.

In-kind donations

We accept equipment, materials and professional time as well as money. Contact us before shipping anything so we can make sure it reaches somewhere it is needed.
