with up to 1 foot of inundation and large breaking waves leading
to splash over and beach erosion. This is a long duration
event... with these impacts felt over multiple tide cycles
continuing through Sunday evening, possibly through the Monday
daytime high tide. For the High Surf Advisory, large breaking
waves of large breaking waves of 7 to 12 feet and a high risk of
rip currents.
* WHERE...In Maine, Coastal York County. In New Hampshire,
Coastal Rockingham County.
* WHEN...For the Coastal Flood Advisory, until 3 AM EDT Monday.
For the High Surf Advisory, until 8 PM EDT Sunday.
* IMPACTS...Flooding of lots, parks, and roads with only
isolated road closures expected. Dangerous swimming and
surfing conditions and localized beach erosion.
What you should do
If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be
closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of
unknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone
property.
Inexperienced swimmers should remain out of the water due to
dangerous surf conditions.
