* WHAT...For the Small Craft Advisory, east winds 20 to 25 kt and
seas 9 to 12 feet. For the Gale Watch, east winds up to 35 kt and
seas 10 to 15 feet possible.
* WHERE...Kauai Northwest Waters, Kauai Windward Waters, Kauai
Leeward Waters, Kauai Channel, Oahu Windward Waters and Oahu
Leeward Waters.
* WHEN...For the Small Craft Advisory, until 6 PM HST this
evening. For the Gale Watch, from 6 PM HST this evening
through Sunday afternoon.
* IMPACTS...Strong winds can cause hazardous seas which could
capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility.
What you should do
A Gale Watch is issued when the risk of gale force winds of 34 to
47 knots has significantly increased but the specific timing
and/or location is still uncertain. It is intended to provide
additional lead time for mariners who may wish to consider
altering their plans.
