- At 348 PM HST, Doppler radar indicated moderate rain falling over
the southeast slopes of the Big Island, mainly between Naalehu
and Wood Valley. Hawaii County Civil Defense Agency reported
flooding on Kaalaiki Road near Highway 11 in Naalehu and a
portion of Highway 11 in Waiohinu, prompting road closures. Minor
flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory
area. Rain was falling at a rate of 0.5 to 1 inch per hour.

Hawaiian Paradise Park, Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, Wood
Valley, Volcano, Pahala, Glenwood, Punaluu Beach, Kawa Flats,
Mountain View and Hawaiian Acres.

flooding.
